Recorded live in the same Chicago apt that was used for Pale Horses in 2019. New Ground brims with a familiar shimmering resonance from Pale Horses, but now infused with something electronic and automatic with the acquisition of MIDI. The result is the most linear dub dance album release from an ambient guitarist casting his eyes toward the same hallucinatory melancholy of Swim Ignorant Fire in a strange new electronic light.
